Deals on Samsung Epix i907 Phone, Black (AT&T)

Samsung ePix i907 Cell Phone
Cheap Cell Phone Plans | Best Cell Phone Plans | Cell Phone Plan Deals - Samsung Epix i907 Phone, Black (AT&T): "One of my primary demands of a phone upgrade this time was that it had to run Windows Mobile 6.0 or above, since I want to develop mobile phone applications that take advantage of Google Gears Geo-location services.

This phone was a surprise to me in terms of its ease of use, speed (both cpu and 3G connectivity). Syncing with my bluetooth earpiece is much easier than it was with my Motorola RAZR V3. The GPS features are terrific (turn-by-turn driving instructions, automatic traffic alerts, etc.) Even the QWERTY keboard was easy to use, allowing for fast entry. This surprised me as well since I have big hands.

Contrary to some reviewers (here and elsewhere), I loved having both the optical mouse and the stylus pointer. Some have questioned the wisdom of having both. But, it's just good design to allow multiple ways to accomplish the same task, since different people have different preferences. Also, apparently, none of the reviewers, who criticize Samsung for including the stylus, have figured out that the styus is also used for text entry via 'Letter Recognizer' and 'Transcriber' mode, which is a good reason to have both pointer mechanisms.

I did opt to have a full-body invisibleSHIELD placed on it. It's quite expensive ($25 for the" -Read more...

"Cellular companies are difficult in the US, this is a fact we all have to come to accept. So AT&T will probably not help you out if you have problems with this phone, or any other. Samsung, on the other hand is generally a pretty nice company to deal with. The Epix is an extremely well *designed* phone. It has an extremely fast processor, proven layout from the Blackjacks, and most importantly, it has the greatest thing ever put into a phone, a mouse. WinMo is an absolute beast to deal with, but with the addition of a mouse, it's a delight. However, you trade a real D-Pad for a mouse, which makes *most* games unplayable. The mouse can be used as a D-Pad, but it's awkward. If you think this will annoy you, it will, but you'll adapt quickly.

Now, let's get to the main competition: the Fuze. My wife has a Fuze. She loves it and I love my Epix. The Fuze is gorgeous, inside and out, in a way the Epix could never match up to. The TouchFlo thing is a delight to use, since it masks the shortcomings of windows mobile quite well. The Epix doesn't really attempt to, and don't expect it to. The Fuze has a massive army of modders who have made everything from turning the capacitive touch part of the phone into a scroller to making any shape or color of TouchFlo (My wife currently has the black TouchFlo from the HTC Diamond). The Epix has a small, loyal following of modders who are mostly focused on bug-fixing.

Get the Epix or the Fuze, forget the iPhone unless you only specifically want to do the things the iPhone advertises it does, because it doesn't really do anything else. The Fuze can do anything the iPhone can do and more, even if you have to hack it a little to do it. If you're not with AT&T yet, the Samsung Saga through Verizon is very much worth a look." -Read more...

Discount Samsung Behold t919 Phone, Brushed Espresso (T-Mobile)

Samsung Behold T919 Phone
Cheap Cell Phone Plans | Best Cell Phone Plans | Cell Phone Plan Deals - Samsung Behold t919 Phone, Brushed Espresso (T-Mobile): "This is an excellent phone. In the past week I have owned the Blackberry Storm and took it back because it kept locking up. The Dare, a good phone but navigating through contacts is not as easy as it should be, so I took it back and left verizon for tmobile. First off go get the phone from WALMART, it is really inexpensive and you don't have to get a data plan.

Anyways, this phone is perfect for me. Screens are easy to navigate, menus are straigtforward, and my personal favorite any song you load on the phone can be used as a ringtone. The touchscreen is nice and responsive and the keys are 'true' meaning if you hit L you will get an L on the screen. I have large hands(I am 6'4') and texting is not a problem. Keep in mind this is a PHONE, not a smart phone. If you plan on being on the net all the time, this might not be the phone for you.

The only draw back is that I don't think this a true 5 megapixel camera because picture quality was just okay and it takes forever to snap a shot. Fine for people sitting still, but not if you are trying to get a kid to hold a pose or trying to sneak in a picture of some local crazy person you see walking the street." -Read more...

"The Samsung Behold to me is considered a high end PDA/Smart phone without the ability to edit office documents. The best thing about this phone is that it doesn't have Window Mobile 6.1. Every time I see the window MS logo on a cell phone I just want to run for the hills. Anyways, thank goodness this is strictly Samsung. This brand is known for churning out exquisite top notch phones.

This phone is a touch screen based phone with only 3 keys on the bottom. You get a gorgeous 3 inch screen with 262K Colors where the vibrant colors just really POP. You get access to emails, 3G, Web Browser, IM, Text, Multimedia Messaging, etc. The only thing is I felt the web browser was limited. You have a 3 inch screen and Samsung should really take advantage of it and have it take up the entire screen.

If you're on YouTube you get to watch the videos but even when in full screen mode it doesn't take up the whole screen. Of course nothing beats the iPhone's Safari Browser. I must admit the Google Android G1 phone on T-Mobile comes pretty close to being a flawless browser. Despite the touch screen I feel it didn't flow as fluid as the G1 and iPhone did but great nonetheless. I've only had the phone for 1 day. I will test it out more and revise my review. I think the haptic feedback makes me feel the phone isn't operating as responsive as it should because I really don't need the device to vibrant whenever I confirm a selection. The 3G browser just recently launched with T-Mobile so don't expect it be spectacular but it does operate just fine.

There's a 5.0 megapixel camera (About Time!) with built in FLASH. And it also functions as a camcorder. The device can accept up to 16GB on the micro SD. The back of the phone literally looks like a digital camera. I've also noticed that almost every Samsung phone on T-Mobile sound awfully LOW even when on the highest volume. But this phone turned up all the way sounds just fine.

I wouldn't recommend this phone to anyone who doesn't live in a major city because T-Mobile isn't known for impeccable & flawless reception unless you're in a major city. If you're in a huge metropolis that houses many signal towers you shouldn't have any issues. Where T-Mobile is now is where AT&T use to be 8 years ago." -Read more...

Cheap Cell Phone Plans | Best Cell Phone Plans | Cell Phone Plan Deals - Samsung Impression A877 Phone, Blue (AT&T): "Excellent high end feature phone look/feel/most functions (note: not a true smart phone), and for a high end feature phone it's a very well-rounded package. Good size, good feel, just the right touch screen haptic response when you select something, and a great feel to the keyboard when pressing the buttons. It takes up to 16 GB microSD memory cards, has a 3mb camera and the screen is very nice - though not dramatically better than non-AMOLED screens as I would have expected from the marketing hype and all the pre-release buzz around this phones AMOLED screen. No, there is no hint of any 3D effect in the AMOLED screen as was talked up in some of the pre-release reviews. But the screen is bright and vibrant - though in the sun it washes out considerably more than my old Palm Treo I gave up to get this."

"at first i wanted the HTC phone but since my wife has the eternity, i decided to get this phone. compare to my 8125, this phone is sleeker and more user friendly. Since i don't use all of the applications like GPS and the yellow pages, i can't complain. so if you like the eternity with a slider, this is you phone to get."

Customer Reviews

"I have had this phone for about a little over a month and a half. On the contrary to what the previous reviewer from earlier today has said, I am twenty years old and actually need this phone. The phone is highly useful and fits my everyday needs. It has a calendar, widgets, Windows Mobile 6.1 which features MS Office (This is handy for me when my boss sends Excel files to us when we are out of the office)and plenty of other features that one can use and which I have used since I have taken it out of the box late February.

The data plan has nothing to do with the phone itself- which unfortunately, has left many leaving 1 star reviews on this site. In fact, I do believe that the data plan is necessary for a phone of this nature. Why? Because the phone is constantly sending and receiving data on the Verizon network. There are ways to change it. But with a phone that has Internet Explorer and Opera built in, why would you not want a Data Plan? Yes, it is capable of WiFi as well. However, WiFi is only limited to the places that have it. Verizon's broadband network has served me well in this month and a half and has been accessible where ever I go in Wisconsin.

The battery life isn't as great as the Nokias that I have used on my previous provider. However, I go about every other day charging my phone and killing processes in the task manager. I once surfed the web on mobile broadband for two hours and the phone did not need to be charged for about eight hours later. The Omnia is very useful and replaces my laptop in times when I do not want to carry a laptop around.

I have rated it 4 stars, because obviously the phone is not perfect. It replaces my music player with it's robust 8gb storage and microSD slot. It also has a replaceable battery which a rival phone (take a guess) does not. What set this phone apart from other phones is the fact that I can customize it to my likings with third party software. You can do that with other phones, yes. But I like this phone very much. " -Read more reviews...

"To all you people giving the Omnia a 1 star rating is like buying a new car and then rating it a terrible car because you found out gas was expensive! When you wrote your review the second question (after asking if you were over age 13) was "How do you rate this ITEM?" It didn't ask how do you rate the carrier? Here's my advice for you.... buy an unlocked Omnia and use whatever carrier you prefer! BTW everyone, I realy like the Samsung Omnia. It has some shortcomings, it's hard to find a phone that does as much as the Omnia that doesn't. All in all, a wonderful device!" - Read more reviews...

OK phone

Ordered two phones. One came with busted speaker. If you plug the charger in and it'll work for little bit and become dead after little bit. Called Amazon and reported it. Amazon shipped a replacement SIM card, WTF. Called again, this this they ship a new phone in 1 Day shipping. The phone has a lot of features, but I don't think touchscreen keyboards are good for phones as speed dial is not available.

the best

this is a every good phone i had it for 5or6months now and its been great never had any problems with it pros big screen good battery easy txting mp3 player , games, tv and more the only thing i think that could be better is the camera

Excellent product

I love th Eternity and all of its features, the accessories all can be bought on Amazon really cheap. The ONLY criticism that i have is that the manual is in pdf form, and it is almost 200 pages long! A concise 50-page "quick-start" english manual would have been nice."
